God is the Person in control in my life ...... not her .... not any other person ...... and now I'm moving towards Peace ...... I need Peace much more than I need her ........

There are many Christians who grieve when they cannot serve their Lord in some form of active labour for Christ. When sickness shuts them in, and they can go forth no longer to their accustomed work, they mourn that they must be so useless. They forget that that is God's will, and that the doing of God's will is always the finest thing possible in this world for any one. It's raining

Pouring down now at nearly 5AM. Earlier it was just damp outside. So far my chronic pain has continued to lessen since last Tuesday. That day was a trial in itself to manage through, and I am now grateful to be in a less painful ..... messy .... situation. Doctor's appointments in the near, and not too distant, future.

What a great day it was on Sunday! Church in the morning ...... lunch, laughter, and some catching up with some old friends, and a new one ....... still chatting at 3PM, and unfortunately I had to leave for home as hubby would be needing the transportation by 4:30 .........

Thankful for the hummingbirds .....

and I think that they try to thank me for their food. When they're at the feeder on the window beside my computer desk they occasionally peek up over the top at me. I like to think that they're smiling in with a thank you for the nectar. :-)

Rain for today ........

so it will be a quiet day reading as thunder and lightning is expected and I may have to soon shut down the computer and unplug .........

The hummingbirds had drained the feeders and I noticed a third flying about. Baby must have joined his parents. It never ceases to amaze me though, how they fight over their food sources. Between the two feeders there are seven perches to accomodate three birds .......... and still they fight ......... :( ..........

but to tell you the honest truth my life is so boring these days I'd have to invent a fictional life story to make it interesting!! Shall I tell you all about raking up grass that was over long when it was cut last weekend, and how exciting it is to haul it away in the wheelbarrow?! Despite that, the natural world is wonderful to be out in and I really am enjoying all the blooms of the season.

The birds began their singing around 4:42am today ......... My, they were early ...... maybe it's true about the early bird getting the worm. Maybe they get those worms in the early hours while the worm is still half frozen and can't move!

Nightly posting .....

Better say something here before I can't get in to post on this blog. It's been a month ....... lots of changes in the natural world around me ...... springtime is here; though yesterday the air had a hint of fall in it, or was that a bit of leftover winter? None the less, the air was chilly, and it seemed so strange as the day before had been warm enough to qualify as summer. Odd weather patterns ......

I'm not reading or knitting lately ....... can't seem to concentrate. Mostly I'm waiting ...... and praying ....... for some good changes to come along. Wish they'd happen so I'd feel like getting back to participating in life again.

It's now Good Afternoon ......

Shall I run and boil up the water for a coffee? Why not, eh?! ......... brb! .................. I downloaded this picture of some early Honeysuckle leaves, taken just over a week ago, while I waited for the water to boil.

It's amazing how the plants begin their new growth ...... even as the cold, and sometimes snow, remains. The tiny little Snowdrops will poke up right through the snow! I have both single and double Snowdrops; and can't wait for them to show themselves in the early Spring!

East Coast Morning Coffee .....

I have come to the conclusion that the world moves at too quickly a pace for me. Slow Down! doesn't seem to even make a ripple in their thoughts as those humans race towards the end of their alloted time. At the pace I move my time will not have difficulty finding me. Perhaps I moan this morning due to the extra pressure that the weather system off the east coast of the US is putting on my body. I shall endeavor to smile anyway. :-)

Good Morning! ....

The skies are clear, the Sun is coming up over the horizon, and temps are reported to be headed into the double digits today! If at all possible, I will be spending time outside later!! I Love the Springtime!! Yesterday I bought a Classic White Geranium, a Osteospermum Tradewinds Pink, and a Osteospermum Sunscape Daisy Cape. Will be putting those in my DH Nana's old concrete square planter which I keep by the backdoor. Getting the bug for planting ..... wish the body would cooperate a little better with the idea. Heather had half of her vehicle trunk filled yesterday when we left the nursery. She probably played in the dirt the rest of the day. :-)

Spring is definitely showing signs of being on the way this morning ...... blue skies with wispy clouds ..... SUN! ..... birds flitting about ...... temp +2C ........ Hmmm ....... NICE!!

Yesterday afternoon there was an airplane crash in our little village, which our son missed being involved in by about one minute, and a local young family missed by inches!! PTL that their car had good brakes and they held!!

The two passengers had minor injuries; however, the pilot was airlifted to Halifax and the last we heard he was critical.

Snow in NS

Hello ......

I'm back again. Busy January ..... have even done some snow shovelling. Imagine that in NS during the winter, if you will! lol Trip to the dentist the other day ....... that went well.

Have been anxious since the earthquake in Haiti waiting for some local friends and acquaintances to make it out of the country safely. They arrived yesterday to the welcoming arms of their families and friends. Being volunteer mission workers at a Haitian orphange during a major earthquake was probably the last thing they thought that they would be experiencing when they left NS, and having to be evacuated via a Canadian Forces military airplane. PTL that they are safely back.

We lost a dear friend and neighbour last evening to a sudden aneursym ........ so sad ........ my heart goes out to his wife and family ......

Snow!

It's been snowing here ...... big time! Maybe two feet on the level ........ is that enough for ya?! Poor Dream looks overwhelmed every time that she steps outside! Perhaps her primitive bones are wondering what in time has happened to her world?? This is not the Congo!! Despite the weather yesterday, my body was kind to me and kept working well up into the evening ..... PTL!! What a blessing to have a day that is 'almost' pain free!! Hoping for another one today!
